And toys for my Christmas tree.
I know brother John wants a drum and a top,
And a poll-parrot in a gilded cage;
And Tom, he wants a fur cap and coat
For now they are all the rage.
But I think that I must go to sleep,
For fear Santa Claus won't come;
I must try to be a good little girl
Or else of candies I'll get none.
